AUMOVIO continues the business of the former Continental group sector Automotive as an independent company with its spin-off in September 2025. The technology and electronics company offers a wide-ranging portfolio that makes mobility safe, exciting, connected and autonomous.

Mirrors are the past – cameras are the future. With ProViu® Mirror, AUMOVIO replaces traditional wing mirrors on commercial vehicles and sets new standards in safety, visibility and efficiency. High-resolution cameras and displays deliver a clear surround view without bulky housings.

Conventional mirrors create blind spots, impair visibility in rain, snow, or low-setting sun, and cause air resistance. ProViu® Mirror removes these drawbacks.

The system uses high-resolution cameras mounted on the vehicle sides and front, depending on the configuration. Running at 60 fps with <80 ms latency, LVDS technology delivers an image far exceeding UN ECE Regulation No. 46. This allows drivers to see traffic conditions in near real time – a decisive advantage in critical situations. The 3-megapixel camera resolution enables an adjustable, extended field of view covering mirror classes II and IV, with V and VI optional.

Perfect vision in any weather

In the cab, black panel displays (10.0 – 14.5ʺ, depending on class) with 1920 x 720 pixels deliver crisp, high-contrast images. Integrated light sensors auto-adjust display brightness; HDR balances highlights and shadows; LED Flicker Management suppresses flickering. The built-in lens heater protects against fogging.

AUMOVIO ProViu Mirror: modular, flexible, ready to integrate

A compact design and 9 – 32 V power supply make installation easy across almost any commercial vehicle. The production-ready platform of ProViu® Mirror suits both OEMs and retrofit customers, providing standardized hardware and software without additional development costs.

Confiugrable by mirror class:

  • Classes II/IV: one camera per side, two displays inside
  • Classes II/IV/V: one camera on the driver and two on the passenger side; three displays including one extra for class V
  • Classes II/IV/V/VI – Option A: one camera on the driver and two on the passenger side, one front; three displays, the extra showing classes V and VI together
  • Classes II/IV/V/VI – Option B: one camera on the driver and two on the passenger side, one front; four displays, one each for classes V and VI

This flexibility makes the ProViu® Mirror interesting for a wide range of applications – from city buses to coaches.

Future-proof with driver assistance

ProViu® Mirror is more than just a camera system – it is a platform for additional ADAS features. Parking, turning and blind spot assistants can be easily integrated via the built-in CAN interface. These options make the ProViu® Mirror an important component for greater road safety – today and in the future.
