Cummins showcases Accelera LFP battery platform, new engines, and independent front suspension at Busworld 2025

Cummins is presenting a wide range of bus and coach power solutions at Busworld 2025 in Brussels with the goal of demonstrating its approach to supporting OEMs and operators across conventional and zero-emission technologies.
Zero emission solutions division Accelera by Cummins will showcase its LFP tiered battery platform, aimed at zero-emission buses. Modular and optimised for space-constrained applications such as low-floor city buses, the platform supports multiple configurations (up to five) to meet operational requirements while maintaining safety and performance, Cummins says. What is more, Accelera is expectred to launch a brand-new zero emissions technology at Busworld.
Internal combustion engines are still here, also fueled with H2!
Among Cummins engines on display is the new X10 Euro VI, developed for inter-urban bus and coach applications with power ratings from 265 to 338 kW and peak torque of 2,200 Nm. Optimised for efficiency and compatibility with hybrid systems, the X10 is designed to provide improved fuel economy while easing the transition toward Euro 7 emissions standards, Cummins states.
Cummins’ B6.7H hydrogen combustion engine (Rated at 216 kW (290 hp) and with 1200 Nm peak torque) and L9N natural gas engine complement this offering, providing alternatives that reduce carbon and particulate emissions without requiring major vehicle redesigns.

Beyond engines, Cummins is presenting its Independent Front Suspension (IFS) axle: “This “drop-in” MIS-09 replacement technology is purpose-built for the most demanding applications. The ProTec™ IFS provides reliable suspension for bus and coach, minimising maintenance cycles. Steering pivots improve driver control and stability for safe and confident handling. The technology has been extensively tested to ensure durability, as well as having a fully-integrated suspension and steering system”, in the supplier’s words.
