Qingdao City Transportation Group has introduced 200 BYD pure electric buses, including the B7 model. This deployment aligns with Qingdao’s long-term sustainability goals and supports China’s “dual carbon” strategy, is reported on local trade media Chinabuses.org.

BYD provides B7 electric minibus in Qingdao

The 6-meter BYD B7, the shortest bus in the city’s fleet, features a “zero rear overhang” design for improved maneuverability in dense urban areas and narrow rural roads. It offers a 10.6-square-meter low-floor area, a passenger capacity of up to 80 (sic), and accessibility features such as a low-entry step and a flip-up ramp, Chinabuses reports.

Passenger comfort is enhanced with heated handrails, ergonomic seating, and USB charging ports. A 360-degree panoramic system improves safety by minimizing blind spots.
