Thirty-two out of every 100 hydrogen buses in Europe speak Portuguese and are CaetanoBus-branded. In fact, the manufacturer has a 32 percent market share and at Busworld in Brussels unveiled the latest generation of the H2.CityGold, powered by the revamped Toyota Fuel Cell Stack

In the first half of 2023, CaetanoBus scored a 32 percent market share with H2-delivered buses in Germany, France, Spain, and Portugal. The company has recently signed contracts with major European transport operators, signing the largest-ever framework agreement for FCEV with Deutsche Bahn in Germany, plus a framework agreement for Strasbourg in France, supply contracts for EMT Madrid in Spain, Bolzano in Italy, Cascais in Portugal, and most recently Leverkusen, also in Germany.
