AKIA has completed delivery of as many as 132 Ultra LF25 metrobuses (25-meter long) in Istanbul. The vehicles are deployed on Metrobus BRT Line, one of the most important links in the public transportation system, provides transportation to all corners of Istanbul.

Istanbul’s metrobus line has a total of 44 stops, 7 in Asia and 37 in Europe, and is approximately 52 km long. This line carries approximately 1 million passengers daily.

Akia: 132 metrobuses for Istanbul

As mentioned above, a total of 132 AKIA ULTRA LF25 metrobus vehicles, 60 in 2022 and 72 in 2023, each 25 meters long, were added to the fleet.

The AKIA Ultra LF25 stands out with its length of 25 meters and a passenger capacity of 281, thanks to a double bellows and 5-axle design. Thanks to its steerable 5th axle, its maneuverability is greatly increased, and its powerful engine provides high climbing ability on the challenging roads of Istanbul.

The model features double-wing sliding doors, air conditioning system, electric fan system saving fuel while providing advantages such as easy maintenance and lower fire risk.

AKIA’s independent driver’s cabin “provides a safe and comfortable environment experience for the driver. The digital screen allows the driver to easily access all necessary information and focus on the road. In addition, the mirror camera system equipped with the latest technology offers features such as wider angle view and night vision, maximizing the driver’s field of view and generally improving the safe driving experience”, in the manufacturer’s words.
