Daimler Coaches North America has inaugurated its new U.S. headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
The facility, officially opened on February 10, spans more than 43,000 square feet and will serve as the central hub for Daimler Coaches North America (DCNA), a subsidiary of Daimler Buses, the bus division of Daimler Truck AG. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Christofer Burger, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami.

The new site includes a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) facility, a repair, maintenance and service center, corporate offices, and a dedicated training and delivery center for customers and service partners. Secured parking is available for more than 100 motorcoaches. The property covers 12 acres and is located west of Interstate 295.
The facility will also host pre-owned coach vehicles and function as the control center for DCNA’s U.S. operations. Following the opening, the workforce at the Jacksonville location is expected to increase by approximately 45 percent.

Each Mercedes-Benz Tourrider delivered to U.S. customers undergoes a comprehensive PDI process at the Jacksonville site, the manufacturer states. The Tourrider, developed exclusively for the U.S. market, is a three-axle, 45-foot high-deck motorcoach available with 56 to 60 passenger seats, depending on configuration.
The vehicle is powered by the Mercedes-Benz OM 471 inline six-cylinder engine with 12.8-liter displacement, delivering 450 hp (336 kW) and up to 1,550 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque. Power transmission is managed by an Allison WTB 500R six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter. The model is offered in Business and Premium variants.
The Jacksonville headquarters integrates optimized parts logistics and service operations designed to support motorcoach operators across North America. The site includes a modern training center for technicians and operators, supporting both product familiarization and aftersales services.
The opening of the facility coincides with the presentation of the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider Premium at the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) 2026 Motorcoach Expo, held February 11–14 in Birmingham, Alabama. The Tourrider Business is positioned for business-class applications, while the Premium version is configured for first-class motorcoach services.
