Iveco Bus announces it has signed a new contract with OTW, the public transport operator of Wallonia (Belgium), for the supply of 127 Crossway Low Entry buses. The vehicles will be deployed in the Liège and Namur regions in two phases: 83 units will be delivered from the first quarter of 2026, followed by 44 additional buses starting in early 2027.
This is the third contract awarded by OTW to Iveco Bus in two years. In 2023, framework agreements were signed for 22 Daily minibuses and 42 Crossway Low Entry Hybrid vehicles (the latter being launched in late 2023). The same operator has awarded to Solaris, in late 2021, a tender for the supply of 161 hybrid buses and in 2023 a contract for 97 Volvo 7900 S-Charge.

127 Crossway headed to Belgium
The Crossway Low Entry buses, 12 meters long and designed for suburban routes, offer capacity for up to 99 passengers (37 seated). They feature air conditioning, high-comfort seats with USB ports, passenger information displays, luggage racks, and a driver’s station focused on ergonomics and safety. The low floor between the front and middle doors, paired with an external sliding door, supports easy accessibility.
Each bus is equipped with a Cursor 9 engine delivering 360 hp, compatible with HVO, and matched with a Voith automatic gearbox.

“These buses will operate on suburban routes, where passengers spend more time onboard. Therefore, features that enhance passenger comfort—such as thermal comfort, low noise levels, a high number of seats, attractive aesthetics, and ease of use for all customers—are particularly important. Safety, ergonomics, and comfort for drivers and technicians are of utmost importance. Last but not least, energy efficiency was a key factor in this decision,” explained Christophe Martin, OTW’s rolling stock manager.
“We are pleased with this new collaboration with OTW and would like to thank them for their trust in our models. These CROSSWAY Low Entry vehicles, which will soon join OTW’s fleet, perfectly address the current challenges of passenger mobility, offering a safe and comfortable travel experience,” said Giorgio Zino, Iveco Bus Head of Bus Commercial Operations in Europe.
