Siemens has introduced SICHARGE FLEX, a new generation of electric vehicle (EV) charging systems designed for the transition to high-power, flexible, and scalable charging. The system aims to combine modularity, high power density, and dynamic power distribution.

The product was officially launched at Busworld 2025 in Brussels and will be available for purchase from 2026. Siemens eMobility will provide full support for implementation across sectors including logistics, public transport, and energy infrastructure.

Siemens Sicharge Flex is on the market

At the core of SICHARGE FLEX is a fully dynamic power distribution system that allocates energy in real time across multiple charge points. Each outlet can deliver from 480 kW up to 1.68 MW DC, with charging currents reaching 1,500 A through the MCS dispenser. The system supports both CCS and MCS standards, enabling up to four MCS charge points per installation.

Siemens states that the compact design achieves a power density of up to 656 kW/m², supported by a front-in front-out cooling system that allows wall placement and simplifies site integration. Dispensers can be installed up to 300 meters from the main power cabinet and configured in multiple layouts – floor-mounted, wall-mounted, or overhead – to adapt to available space.

SICHARGE FLEX integrates with Siemens’ digital platforms, including Sifinity Control for cloud-based monitoring and management, and DepotFinity for smart energy management in depot applications.

Austrian Charge Point Operator (CPO) and Mobility Service Provider (MSP) OMV will be the first to deploy SICHARGE FLEX at its site in Kufstein, Austria, located along the A12 corridor between Germany and Italy, Siemens states. The installation will include six charging points initially, expanding to ten as grid capacity increases, and will serve passenger cars, eTrucks, and eBuses.

“The introduction of SICHARGE FLEX marks a significant milestone in our journey to build a comprehensive and sustainable e-mobility ecosystem,” said Markus Mildner, CEO eMobility, Siemens Smart Infrastructure.

“At OMV, our mission is to provide our customers with reliable, high-performance charging infrastructure that meets the demands of modern mobility – today and tomorrow,” added Eric Schulze, Senior Vice President Retail Mobility & Convenience, OMV. “The new site in Kufstein is a prime example of how we combine strategic location planning with cutting-edge technology to deliver real value: fast charging for eTrucks, eBuses and passenger cars, seamless user experience, and future-ready scalability.”
