A new life for the Prestij, Temsa‘s flagship tourist coach, which made its debut on the bus market in 1992 and now has nearly 20 thousand units sold worldwide. Nine years after its 2016 redesign, the Turkish Oem has further revamped its compact coach (just over 7 meters, in fact, is its length), which is ideal not only for tourist transportation, but also for operating as an airport shuttle and school bus.

For the time being, Temsa will continue to sell the current and “old” version: the new Prestij will make its official debut at Busworld Europe in Brussels in early October 2025, and only then will it be available for order.

Temsa’s new Prestij, in detail

The redesigned Prestij features a high-performance, fuel-efficient 3-liter engine, keeping its operational and economic efficiency at the top of its class. The new Prestij is optionally offered with AMT 6+1 transmission, giving it greater versatility in operation.

It is also equipped with a full range of safety technologies that go even beyond the regulatory requirements of the new Gsr2. These include cutting-edge systems such as the Advanced Emergency Braking System, Blind Spot Information System, Moving Off Information System, Intelligent Speed Assistance, Reversing Detection, Emergency Stop Signal, Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning—ensuring the highest level of protection for both drivers and passengers.

Design-wise, the Prestij has undergone a complete transformation. The LED lighting system, front and rear faceplates, and color options, such as blue and smoke gray, give it a sleek, modern look. Inside, the cabin is optimized for comfort and, with ergonomic seats and digital information screens.

At the launch, Temsa Ceo Evren Güzel emphasized the strategic role of the Prestij in the company’s portfolio: «It has always been more than just a vehicle for us. It is part of the Temsa legacy, a pioneer that opened the door to the midibus market more than 30 years ago. With nearly 20,000 units produced, it reflects our deep experience in this segment. Today, the new Prestij represents the flagship of our future vision, combining modern design, efficiency and state-of-the-art safety features».
