VinFast has presented its first electric bus models for Europe, the EB 8 and EB 12, at Busworld Europe 2025, marking the brand’s entry into the European public transport sector.
Both models draw on VinFast’s operational experience in Vietnam, where over 300 e-buses are in service across five major cities. Production will take place in VinFast’s modern facility in Vietnam, with a capacity of 1,500–2,000 units per year. The EB 12 is available for order now, with commercial operation of both models set to begin in 2026.

Both buses are covered by a 5-year unlimited-mileage warranty for the vehicle and up to 8 years for the high-voltage battery and anti-corrosion protection.
VinFast says it plans to establish a European distribution network in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and across Central-Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
VinFast new electric buses for Europe
The VinFast EB 12, a 12.1-metre low-floor city bus, is already compliant with UNECE and CE regulations and is said to be available to order in Europe. Equipped with twin 125 kW wheel-hub motors (250 kW total) and a 422 kWh battery, it achieves over 400 km of range (SORT 2) and supports 140 kW fast charging. Passenger capacity reaches 90 people (35 seated, 54 standing, 1 wheelchair space). Features include dual-zone climate control with heat pump, 26 USB ports, full air suspension, and a suite of ADAS systems such as DDAW, Blind Spot Detection, and Intelligent Speed Assistance.

The compact EB 8, measuring 8.6 metres, is tailored for narrower, high-density routes. Powered by a 200 kW central motor and a 359 kWh battery, it offers a claimed range exceeding 290 km (SORT 1 + AC ON) and supports 120 kW fast charging. The bus accommodates up to 60 passengers and includes a wheelchair ramp, single-zone climate control, and comprehensive safety systems (ABS, EBD, BA, HAS) with full air suspension.
Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Chairwoman of VinFast, stated: “VinFast was founded on the mission of democratizing electric mobility. Through our comprehensive product ecosystem, ranging from personal cars to buses, we stand ready to collaborate with individuals, corporate partners, and communities worldwide. We are confident that VinFast’s modern, high-performance, and amenity-rich electric buses will be the ideal choice for both operators and their passengers, actively contributing to a greener and safer transportation future for all.”
