MAN Truck & Bus raised the curtain on the Lion’s Coach 14 E today in Brussels during Busworld. It’s the first fully electric coach from a major European manufacturer, first presented in May in Ankara but now visible in its definitive design.

Building on the success of the Lion’s City E family, which has seen almost 3,000 e-buses produced, the Lion’s Coach 14 E combines MAN eTruck drive technology with NMC battery packs produced in MAN’s Nuremberg facility.

The coach offers a usable energy capacity of 320 to 480 kWh, allowing ranges up to 650 kilometres under optimal conditions, and accommodates up to 63 passengers without restricting luggage space. Its aerodynamic design reduces drag, while interior features include 53 StyleLine Select seats, providing comfort equivalent to diesel models. Production is scheduled to start in 2026 at MAN’s Ankara plant.

The exhibition stand also features the updated Lion’s City 12 E for the 2025 model year, now equipped with MAN’s new high-density battery packs with enhanced safety systems and flexible charging. The Lion’s Intercity with EfficientHybrid drive, the NEOPLAN Skyliner and Tourliner, and the MAN TGE Next Level minibuses complete the vehicle portfolio.

MAN also emphasizes services and digital solutions. The NEOPLAN eCoach 2040 Future Concept and Innovation Corner present design concepts and sustainable materials, while MAN Transport Solutions offers consulting, charging infrastructure planning, and TCO calculations for eMobility projects. MAN DigitalServices provides fleet management, predictive maintenance, and consumption analysis to support efficient operations.
