Karsan is using its first participation at CES 2026 in Las Vegas to formally introduce its “Karsan AI” autonomous intelligence vision to a global technology audience.
Karsan does not display vehicles on its stand, instead using the platform to present its Karsan AI vision, autonomous strategy and accumulated real-world deployment experience to a global technology-focused audience.
In mid-December 2025 Karsan Level 4 driverless midibus was trialled by Tper on Imola’s autodromo in Bologna. The company is bringing Autonomous e-Jest (presented at Busworld Europe 2025) to the USA, first deployments set for 2026 with Beep.
Karsan joins CES 2026 in Las Vegas
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual technology trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and held each January in Las Vegas, Nevada. It brings together global technology companies, innovators, and industry professionals to present new products, trends, and technologies across sectors including AI, robotics, healthcare, mobility, and consumer electronics. CES 2026 runs from January 6 to 9, 2026, and is widely regarded as a key platform for unveiling and discussing technological advances that are expected to shape the year ahead.
Karsan AI is described as the next phase of the company’s transition from electric to intelligent mobility, building on autonomous deployments already underway in Europe and North America. The concept reflects a holistic model combining vehicle hardware, software, operational readiness and regulatory compliance, developed together with technology partner Adastec.
During CES, Karsan is highlighting that its Level 4 autonomous solutions are already operating in live traffic environments with paying passengers, including in Europe and the United States. The company is also pointing to a growing project pipeline and its objective to scale autonomous public transport from pilot deployments toward fully driverless operations as regulations evolve.
Company’s CEO Okan Baş points to Karsan’s expansion in autonomous mobility as the result of a long-term industrial and technological strategy rather than short-term experimentation. He notes that the company has accumulated more than 100,000 miles (160,000 kilometres) of autonomous driving experience, carried over 60,000 passengers and achieved a 99.5% operational success rate. According to Baş, these figures demonstrate that autonomous public transport is already functioning reliably in real-world conditions and can be scaled beyond pilot projects.
Baş says: “Karsan AI, which we define as Karsan Autonomous Intelligence, is positioned as a mobility intelligence that perceives, makes instant decisions and continuously learns. The future of mobility is not only electric, but also intelligent. With this approach, we are not only producing zero-emission vehicles, but also contributing to the design of future cities with autonomous and intelligent transportation solutions. The foundation of our autonomous success lies in strong partnerships and an end-to-end solution approach. Together with our technology partner ADASTEC, we go beyond offering an autonomous vehicle and deliver a solution that extends from the production line to real-life operation in open traffic, in compliance with regulations. We choose CES 2026 as the platform to share this vision, using our presence here as a showcase to reflect how we see the new era of mobility for a global technology audience.”
