Hanover Displays doubles US facility space and names Óscar Torres Regional Sales Director for Europe

Passenger information systems manufacturer Hanover Displays has inaugurated an expanded 55,000 sq ft facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, while appointing Óscar Torres as Regional Sales Director for Europe.

The company announced the opening of its enlarged US premises on 21 October 2026, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials. The facility, located at 2400 E. Devon Avenue, has been operational since 13 January 2026, when Hanover Displays Inc. relocated from its previous premises in the same municipality.

The European management appointment, announced separately by Hanover Displays, extends Torres’ commercial responsibilities across the region after almost 30 years with the company. He previously held the position of General Manager for Spanish market.

Hanover Displays supplies destination displays, audiovisual equipment, real-time passenger information systems and digital communication technologies for public transport applications, including buses, coaches, trams and trains.

Hanover Displays expands US operations

The new Elk Grove Village premises cover 55,000 sq ft (approximately 5,110 square metres), compared with 29,000 sq ft (approximately 2,694 square metres) at the company’s previous location on Tonne Road.

The relocation represents an increase of approximately 90% in floor space, adding 26,000 sq ft to Hanover Displays’ US facilities.

According to the company, the previous site had been in use for 11 years before operations were transferred to the new premises in January 2026. The expanded facility underwent extensive renovation before the relocation.

Hanover Displays states that the additional space will accommodate increased operational capacity and provide greater flexibility for its North American activities, including customer support and the supply of passenger information systems.

Óscar Torres appointed Hanover Displays Regional Sales Director for Europe

Alongside the expansion of its US operations, Hanover Displays has announced the appointment of Óscar Torres as Regional Sales Director for Europe, effective immediately.

Torres has worked for Hanover Displays for almost 30 years, holding commercial and operational leadership positions within the company. Torres previously established the company’s commercial position in Spain. His new appointment extends his responsibilities to the wider European market.

In this role, Torres will oversee Hanover Displays’ European commercial strategy, including sales development, customer relationships and new business opportunities across the region.

According to Hanover Displays, the appointment is part of a broader expansion of its European commercial activities, with plans to strengthen its presence in key markets and extend local support for bus, coach, tram and rail operators. The company is also focusing on the development and adoption of real-time passenger information technologies and solutions for connected mobility. Its product development activities cover destination displays, audiovisual systems, real-time passenger information solutions and digital communication technologies, with further investment planned to expand the portfolio available to European public transport authorities and operators.
