Karsan has also set its sights on the Belpaese market, and after signing a framework agreement for 80 e-Atak buses with Consip in 2021, it has received an order for 27 e-Ataks as part of this deal for the first electric vehicles in Start Romagna‘s history

Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, «With this order, e-Atak will be the leader of the electric midibus segment in Italy in 2023 as well. Italy plays quite a significant role in the transformation of electric public transportation in Europe. And Karsan is one of the pioneering brands in this transformation. With the new order for Start Romagna, which follows Consip and Tper 18-meter e-Ata orders received earlier, Karsan’s fleet of electric vehicles in Italy next year will exceed 150 units».

Karsan aims to become one of the top five brands in the field of e-buses in Italy.
