It will be the streets and urban areas of Santiago, Chile, that will put the Attivi electric bus from Marcopolo, Brazil’s leading bus and coach manufacturer, under scrutiny. The company has more than 350 electric and hybrid buses that circulate in several countries, such as Argentina, Colombia, Australia and India, as well as Brazil, with partner chassis.

The e-bus will circulate in different areas of the Chilean capital so that operators can evaluate its performance on routes used by conventional diesel buses, says André Armaganijan, director of International Business, Commercial Operations and Foreign Market at Marcopolo.

It is a 12-meter long, low entry bus, driven does electric motor with maximum power of 350 kW and torque of 3,500 Nm, ZF front and rear axles, as well as air suspension, Knorr braking system, and CATL batteries with 350kwh capacity and range of 230 to 280 km, depending on conditions of use. Active It has a capacity of 91 passengers, of which 34 are seated.

For added passenger comfort and safety, it is equipped with air conditioning systems,reversing camera system with siren and monitor in the driver’s panel, as well as an interior security camera with recording. It also has space for wheelchairs and handicap seating, LED interior lighting, LED headlights and taillights, and a separate driver’s cab.
