The ITS European Congress 2025 is set to take place in Seville, Spain, from May 19 to 21, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and mobility experts from across Europe to discuss the future of intelligent transport systems (ITS). Under the theme “Clean, Resilient, and Connected Mobility,” the Congress will showcase the latest advancements in smart mobility solutions, sustainable transport, and connected vehicle technologies.
The event is organized by ERTICO every two years in Europe, and every third year in the EMEA region for the ITS World Congress.
With over 100 technical sessions, including discussions on autonomous driving, data sharing, traffic management, and sustainable logistics, the event will cover key topics that shape the future of transport systems. Plenary sessions will focus on the acceleration of green mobility, the resilience of transport infrastructure, and the role of innovation in enhancing urban mobility.
ITS European Congress 2025 is coming!
The Exhibition Hall will feature cutting-edge technologies from companies like CTAG, EasyPark, and Monotch, offering a hands-on look at AI-powered traffic solutions, smart infrastructure, and electrification technologies. Additionally, the ITS Arena will present live demonstrations from global tech giants like Google Maps, Mastercard, and Mercedes-Benz, bringing innovations to life.

Delegates can also participate in technical visits around Seville, exploring real-world applications of smart mobility and autonomous vehicle solutions in urban environments. A Public Day will engage the local community, providing an opportunity for residents and students to experience firsthand the intelligent transport solutions transforming their city.
A few congress’ highlights
On Day 1, the Congress will kick off with the Smart Mobility Summit of Cities and Regions, where local and regional leaders will address the challenges of deploying intelligent mobility solutions at scale. This session will underscore the importance of collaboration between cities, public authorities, and private stakeholders.
Throughout the day, delegates can attend over 20 technical sessions, including 13 Special Interest Sessions and 7 Technical Paper Sessions.
Day 2 will focus on resilience in mobility. The Plenary Session 2 will discuss the need for resilient transport systems that can withstand environmental, technological, and geopolitical uncertainties. The day will feature over 50 technical sessions and live demonstrations of autonomous vehicles, smart parking solutions, and drone-assisted traffic monitoring.
Day 3 will highlight long-term strategies for evolving transport systems and will include sessions on data sharing, climate resilience, and inclusive mobility design. This day will also include Public Day activities, welcoming locals, students, and families to explore the Exhibition and experience outdoor demonstrations of smart mobility technologies.
The Congress will conclude with the Closing Ceremony and a Farewell Reception, offering attendees the opportunity to reflect on key takeaways and celebrate the progress made in the intelligent mobility field.
