On show in Hamburg, the MCV 127 EV launched in 2023 and featuring extensive VDV (German Vehicle Association) guidelines. It has a CO2 heat pump and a purely electric auxiliary heater. An electric central motor drives the rear axle. Energy is provided by six roof-mounted battery packs with a total capacity of 462 kWh. Charging is possible at a rate of up to 1C via a CCS2 connector. The vehicle is state-of-the-art in terms of safety technology, including a camera mirror and a turning assistant

The same attributes apply to the 10-meter vehicle MCV 107 EV, with a total length of 10.6 meters, unveiled at Mobility Move earlier this year. The vehicle can accommodate a maximum of five battery packs on the roof, corresponding to a total output of 385 kWh. “The ergonomically designed driver’s workstation with numerous storage and stowage options offers maximum comfort and adjustability. Clearly legible and intuitive digital instruments convey the concept’s high degree of future-proofing, as does the standard camera-based mirror replacement system, which ensures optimal visibility in the area surrounding the bus, even at night”, MCV says.
