The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) has launched a new app on October 17th, 2022 – with technology from Hacon. The mobile app “RMVgo” is an expandable MaaS solution with a journey planner, optional ticket purchase and various traffic information.

Hacon MaaS app for RMV

“RMVgo” is precisely tailored to the multimodal and intermodal transport concept of the RMV, the company says. The available means of transport in public transport as well as taxi, car sharing, scooter and bike sharing are integrated into the app´s mobility offer, and the connection information is visualized either in a list or map view.

When developing this new app, the transport association once again relied on Hacon‘s expertise. The software specialist ensures that users quickly and easily receive their route planning including real-time information and, if necessary, alternative connections, it is said.

Together with the RMV and project partners, Hacon is involved in the further development of the new MaaS platform. Booking on-demand shuttles and various other functions will be added to the app in the near future. The result is a MaaS platform for intermodal travel.

“It is a great success that we can present our customers with a new app twelve years after the launch of the first app. The reliable cooperation with our project partner Hacon contributed significantly to this success. We are pleased that we can also count on Hacon’s well-founded know-how for the forthcoming developments,” says Prof. Knut Ringat, RMV Managing Director.
