ATM Milano has awarded the two lots of the tender cancelled last April. Iveco Bus and Solaris came out as winners, Italian media Autobusweb reports. For the Polish manufacturer it is a reconfirmation: it’ll deliver 105 Urbino 18 electric. For Iveco Bus it is an absolute first in Milan with e-buses: it’ll provide 205 12-meter E-Way. Full service is included.

The tender attracted no less than five bidders. On the 12-metre lot on the starting grid there were Iveco Bus, BYD, Daimler Buses, Solaris and Ebusco. Daimler ranked last. The same brands also bidded for the 18-metre lot, except for Ebusco.

Notable absents: Industria Italiana Autobus, Irizar e-mobility and MAN, that still looks at competitions of this size with suspicion (this is not the case in Germany), while VDL has not been heard since the Bologna victory.
