Bus Simulator 27 adds intercity routes and licensed coaches ahead of September release

Bus Simulator 27 will launch on September 8, 2026, introducing long-distance routes and officially licensed coach buses for the first time in the series.

Bus Simulator announces that the 27th issue will be released on September 8, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The launch date was revealed alongside a new “Coach Bus Journey” trailer presented during the IGN Live showcase, offering a first look at the game’s new long-distance driving features.

The new installment expands the scope of the franchise beyond urban transport operations by introducing intercity services connecting different locations across the game world. Long-distance routes will be operated with officially licensed coach vehicles, marking a first for the Bus Simulator series.

Coaches and intercity bus routes arrive in Bus Simulator 27

Three coach models have been confirmed at launch: the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo, the Scania Irizar i8 and the MAN Lion’s Coach. According to the developers, these vehicles will allow players to operate longer services linking destinations throughout Felicia Bay, the fictional region that serves as the game’s setting.

Felicia Bay is depicted as a southern European environment featuring coastal areas, beaches, villages and urban centres. While previous gameplay focused primarily on city transport operations, the new version introduces intercity routes connecting locations across the wider map.

The newly released trailer showcases the coach vehicles and long-distance driving environments that will complement the urban bus operations already associated with the franchise.

Season Pass and game editions announced

Bus Simulator 27 is now available for pre-order across all announced platforms. Players pre-ordering the title will receive the Deluxe Pack, which includes the HESS lighTram 12 Plug, the Alexander Dennis Enviro100EV and four exclusive vehicle liveries.

Alongside the Standard Edition, astragon will offer a Year 1 Edition featuring a newly announced Year 1 Season Pass. Additional content planned during the first year includes the Mercedes-Benz Intouro coach, further Bus Packs, Cosmetic Packs and a FlixBus Expansion scheduled for release later during the Year 1 content cycle.

The game will be available via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store for PC, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
