Moventis has appointed Carlos Castán as its new Director of Operations, with responsibility for supporting the company’s operations as it implements its 2026–2028 Strategic Plan.
According to Moventis, the collective mobility division of Moventia, Castán joins the company with more than 30 years of professional experience in operations, logistics and supply chain management.
Moventis will also take part in the Sustainable Bus Tour conference at FIAA 2026, scheduled for 23 September at IFEMA Madrid. Ian Livesey, Director B2B & B2C at Moventis, will join the roundtable “Building zero emission buses through partnerships. Platforms, investments, industrial strategies”, alongside representatives from ANAV, Arriva Spain, Otokar Italy, ZF, Iveco Bus and BYD.
Carlos Castán joins Moventis as Operations Director
Castán spent more than two decades at CELSA Group, where his positions included Director of Planning and Logistics and Corporate Head of External Logistics. His responsibilities covered planning, production, warehousing and transport, as well as the management of large operational teams.
During his career at CELSA, he worked on logistics projects and on road, rail and maritime transport processes. His professional background also includes positions at Agbar, now Veolia, SOREA, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Interben Consulting.
Between 2015 and 2026, Castán served as president of the Spanish Shippers’ Association, ACE. He holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
Moventis 2026–2028 Strategic Plan
In his new position, Castán will work on the implementation of Moventis’ 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, including the coordination of operations, service regularity and the adaptation of processes to the requirements of the territories where the company operates.
Moventis states that the appointment comes during a period of national and international business growth and changing mobility requirements.
