CharterUP and Holon have announced a partnership to integrate Level 4 autonomous shuttles into existing group and shuttle transportation networks across North America.
The agreement positions CharterUP as a strategic group mobility partner for Holon within defined deployment scenarios, combining Holon’s integrated autonomous mobility ecosystem with CharterUP’s AI-enabled enterprise transportation platform and nationwide operational network. The collaboration targets campuses, airports, transit agencies and community environments where shuttle-based services are already in operation.
CharterUP recently expanded its zero-emission portfolio with electric coaches in California. Under the new framework, its turnkey mobility model — covering vehicles, drivers, technology and fleet management — will be extended to include Holon’s autonomous urban shuttles for designated use cases.
Holon has recently strengthened its management structure with the appointment of Martin Lischka and Jonas Seyfferth, as part of its industrial and market expansion roadmap.
By offering Holon’s mobility solutions to our customers,
Armir Harris, Founder and CEO of CharterUP
we can help organizations evolve their transportation networks responsibly, starting with human-driven operations and transitioning to fully autonomous shuttles when they are ready.
CharterUP goes with Holon
The partnership foresees the integration of autonomous vehicles into existing, human-operated shuttle systems. CharterUP will support customers in planning deployment routes, defining service models and managing blended fleets composed of both human-driven and autonomous vehicles.
Current CharterUP operations are based on human-operated fleets supported by proprietary AI-based software. Through the collaboration with Holon, institutions will be able to introduce autonomous mobility within established networks, with implementation aligned to regulatory requirements and operational readiness.
Holon’s autonomous technology development has progressed in both Europe and the United States, alongside regulatory approvals, production planning and real-world testing activities.
At the core of the collaboration is the Holon urban shuttle, a purpose-built, fully electric vehicle designed for shared public transport applications. The vehicle offers Level 4 autonomous capability, accommodates up to 15 passengers and features an ADA-compliant, barrier-free interior layout.

The shuttle is equipped with a sensor suite including lidar, radar and cameras, and is designed to operate on fixed routes or on-demand services at speeds of up to 37 mph. It is manufactured in the United States and built to automotive-grade safety standards.
Holon’s integrated solution combines the vehicle platform with software and analytics from ioki and operational, infrastructure and financing services from Benteler Mobility. The structural integration of these components followed Benteler’s acquisition of ioki, consolidating vehicle, software and operational capabilities within a single ecosystem.
“This partnership accelerates our mission to redefine group mobility by bringing AI-first
intelligence and autonomous capability into real-world transportation operations,” said Armir
Harris, Founder and CEO of CharterUP. “By offering Holon’s mobility solutions to our customers,
we can help organizations evolve their transportation networks responsibly, starting with human-driven operations and transitioning to fully autonomous shuttles when they are ready. This is a
major step toward safer, more efficient, and more modern transportation”.
“Partnering with CharterUP is an important step in bringing autonomous mobility into everyday transportation networks,” said Dr. Sven Herzig, Chief Sales Officer at Holon. “By combining Holon’s integrated 360° mobility solution with CharterUP’s proven deployment expertise and national reach, we are enabling organizations to adopt autonomous transit safely, sustainably, and at scale—from early pilots to full operations.”
“Benteler Mobility provides the operational and infrastructural foundation needed to run
autonomous services reliably,” added Tobias Liebelt, CEO of Benteler Mobility. “Together, we
create a realistic, low-risk pathway from pilots to long-term autonomous operations. Autonomous
mobility depends on a tightly integrated ecosystem working seamlessly together and this
collaboration brings exactly that into real-world transportation”.
