Arriva Group announces that Gianfranco Sgro will be the new CEO of the group with effect October 1, 2025. He joins Arriva after almost 11-years at the logistic company Kuehne+Nagel, where he is currently Executive Vice President for Contract Logistics.  He is also a member of the Management Board. He has been appointed following a global search, Arriva highlights.

In 2024 the group had been sold to to infrastructure investment manager I Squared.

Gianfranco Sgro joins Arriva as new CEO

Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer for Latin America at Pirelli for three years and had a long and varied leadership career at Ceva Logistics where he ended his time there as Chief Operating Officer for South Europe, Middle East and Africa. He graduated at Politecnico di Torino as electronic engineer, according to his Linkedin resume.
