Golden Dragon and Ebusco have completed the first carbon fiber electric bus produced at Golden Dragon’s Longhai plant.

The milestone was celebrated on 7 July in Xiamen, where the two companies also signed a strategic cooperation agreement to expand their collaboration in the European zero-emission bus market,. as reported on Chinese trade media Chinabuses.

The partnership builds on a relationship that began in 2012, when Golden Dragon and the Dutch manufacturer first started working together on electric bus projects for Europe.

First carbon fiber articulated bus completed at Longhai plant

The first vehicle produced under the renewed cooperation is an 18-metre articulated battery-electric bus developed for the European market. Manufacturing took place at Golden Dragon’s Longhai facility.

According to Chinabuses, the vehicle combines Ebusco’s design and lightweight body technology with Golden Dragon’s manufacturing capabilities. Senior representatives from both companies attended the ceremony together with customers from France, highlighting the project’s focus on the European market.

The companies stated that future cooperation will extend beyond vehicle production towards longer-term collaboration covering manufacturing, supply chain integration and aftersales support. Industry partners including Gotion High-tech and Zhongfu Membranes & Water Technology are also involved in the programme, Chinabuses highlights.
