Iveco Bus announces it has signed industrial cooperation and distribution agreements with APTB (an acronym that stands for Asia Pacific Truck & Bus Sdn. Bhd.) for the assembly of Daily chassis and the distribution of finished minibuses in Malaysia. They’ll be assembled on a CKD basis starting in 2026.

The new cooperation marks Iveco Bus’s first step into the Malaysian market.

Iveco Bus enters Malaysian market

APTB is a well-established player in the Malaysian market with experience in bus bodybuilding, assembly, distribution, and after-sales, as well as in public transport operations.

The Daily chassis will feature a 3.0-litre Euro V diesel engine delivering 150 hp, coupled with a Hi-Matic 8-speed automatic transmission. It will also be equipped with AirPro pneumatic suspension with adaptive dampers, Iveco Bus states.

“This partnership is an important milestone for Iveco Bus. We believe in the essential role of bodybuilders in the global bus industry. Safety, durability and comfort are the fundamental characteristics of the Daily, and we are confident this vehicle will meet the expectations of operators and passengers alike,” said Sascha Kaehne, Iveco Bus AMEA Bus Commercial Operations.
