The combined investment by MAN and its partners to expand and strengthen the sales and service network in Europe is set to reach €700 million. Indeed, following the €300 million investment announced by the Munich-based manufacturer in spring, dealers, service partners and importers of the brand are now planning to invest an additional €400 million by 2030.

«Together, the company and its network partners aim to open new sites, modernise existing locations, optimise regional coverage and further improve service quality», MAN states in its press release.

«An investment of this scale is unprecedented in MAN’s history. It is a powerful programme by MAN and its partners, underlining our joint confidence in our brand and products, supported by this additional commitment. Our customers will benefit from even better service in the future», says Friedrich Baumann, Member of the Executive Board for Sales & Customer Solutions at MAN.

MAN to invest €700 million in its sales and service network by 2030

Around one third of the planned investment will be specifically channelled into e-mobility and digitalisation: from high-voltage training for service technicians and the development of battery repair centres to the installation of publicly accessible charging points at MAN branches.

The investments will also further reduce the time customers need to reach a workshop. The goal is for almost 80% of customers to be within a 30-minute drive of the nearest MAN service location.

The countries where MAN aims to achieve this target include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Spain and Turkey. In some particularly logistics-intensive regions, the target will also be achieved through the construction of new sites.

MAN says it is already accelerating the implementation of the programme. Near Lisbon, for example, the ground-breaking ceremony has just taken place for a new company-owned MAN sales and service branch.

A new site is also set to open shortly in Lithuania: long-standing MAN partner Adampolis Group will open one of the largest sales and service locations for MAN vehicles anywhere in Europe at its Kaunas site by the end of the year.
