Otokar is exhibiting five buses, including electric and autonomous models, at Busworld Turkey 2026 in Istanbul.

Otokar is taking part in Busworld Turkey 2026, held from 17 to 19 June at the Istanbul Expo Center, presenting a portfolio that includes electric, autonomous and conventional bus models. The Turkish manufacturer, part of Koç Group, is displaying the new version of the e-KENT alongside the e-TERRITO, the autonomous e-CENTRO, the NAVIGO and the CENTRO microbus.

The company states that the vehicles on display reflect its ongoing activities in both the Turkish and European bus markets. According to Otokar, more than 66,000 buses are currently operating in over 60 countries.

Otokar highlights electrification strategy at Busworld Turkey

Among the vehicles exhibited is the e-TERRITO, recently launched in the Turkish market. The battery-electric model is offered in 11-, 12- and 13-metre versions and is designed for intercity and regional operations. The vehicle features luggage compartments and high passenger capacity, while Otokar states that it offers an operational range suited to a variety of transport applications.

The company is also presenting a new version of the e-KENT electric city bus. Developed for urban transport operations, the vehicle features revised passenger and driver areas together with electric propulsion technology aimed at reducing local emissions and operating costs.

Kerem Erman, Head of Commercial Vehicles at Otokar, stated that the company continues to expand its presence in Europe while pursuing the electrification of its product portfolio. According to Erman, Otokar ranks among the five largest bus manufacturers in Europe and produces vehicles both under its own brand and for two international manufacturers.

Autonomous e-CENTRO on display

The autonomous e-CENTRO represents Otokar’s latest developments in automated driving technologies. The vehicle is equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving capability and has been developed entirely by Otokar’s engineering teams, including software development, testing and implementation.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle is capable of operating throughout the day under different weather conditions while complying with traffic regulations. The autonomous minibus is designed to identify its position, follow predefined routes and stop precisely at designated passenger stops.
