Eighty years of history and the challenge of sustainable mobility. Rampini Carlo S.p.A., Italian well-known manufacturer of electric minibuses, marked its anniversary with a celebratory event at the company’s headquarters in Umbria, bringing together institutions, business leaders, trade unions, and industry associations — alongside the Rampini family, who has led the company since its foundation in 1945.

In its official note, Rampini underlined that “eighty years are not an arrival point but a new beginning, a commitment to continue growing with our eyes on the next generations and on sustainability.”

Rampini was founded in 1945

Founded in 1945, Rampini has evolved into a reference point in both sustainable mobility and defense, navigating economic and social transformations while keeping strong family roots. The anniversary was framed as an opportunity to reflect on the company’s role as a driver of innovation, competitiveness, and territorial development. As the press release emphasized, Strong bonds build the future” — the chosen motto for the celebration, encapsulating the balance between tradition, technology, and community.

The event featured remarks from regional and national stakeholders, including the President of the Umbria Region, Stefania Proietti, representatives from Banca d’Italia and Sviluppumbria, and voices from Confindustria and trade unions. The conversation widened to include the aerospace and automotive supply chains, with contributions from Umbria Aerospace Cluster and ANFIA.

Looking ahead, Rampini stressed its determination to continue investing in technology and skills, highlighting that “the company intends to remain a strategic asset for the territory and for the Italian industrial system, combining innovation with a clear commitment to sustainability.”
