A 100% electric Irizar ie tram will be running along Vereda de los Estudiantes and Barrio de la Fortuna, in the southern area of Madrid, in the framework of a pilot carried out by Empresa Martín (belonging to the Ruiz Group).

The e-bus will be travelling on the regular L-1 route.

The vehicle is 100% electric, zero emissions and has aesthetic attributes similar to those of a tram. It is 12 metres long, has room for 105 passengers on board and is equipped with the most cutting-edge technologies in the sector, the operator says. In addition, the model is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, as it has 4 PRM seats, an electric ramp and 2 wheelchair areas.

The purpose of the tests is to study the different technical characteristics of the vehicle.
