Global Passenger Network delegation heads to FIAA 2026, representing an international network of 26,000 vehicles

FIAA 2026 will bring international journalists, passenger transport buyers and bus and coach operators to Madrid from 22 to 24 September.

The International Bus and Coach Fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID, is preparing its 2026 edition with more than 110 exhibiting companies and international participation up by more than 50% compared with the previous edition, according to information released by FIAA.

The international programme will involve specialist media from Europe, Africa and Asia, buyers representing passenger transport operators in European and African markets, and a delegation from the Global Passenger Network (GPN). International associations including FBAA and ARP will also participate in the event.

FIAA 2026 will also host the Sustainable Bus Tour 2026 conference on 23 September, with a session focused on industrial partnerships, platforms, investments and zero-emission bus strategies. The programme includes a McKinsey & Company keynote and a roundtable with representatives from operators, manufacturers and suppliers.

FIAA 2026 to welcome journalists from 23 countries

FIAA says its international press programme will bring more than 40 specialist journalists from 23 countries to Madrid. Their activity during the three-day exhibition will cover the products, launches and initiatives presented by participating manufacturers, suppliers and other exhibitors.

The fair will also host a programme for international buyers from countries across Europe and Africa. According to FIAA, the participating professionals are affiliated with passenger transport operators whose companies collectively operate more than 300 buses, coaches and minibuses.

The international initiatives form part of an edition scheduled for 22-24 September at IFEMA MADRID. FIAA reports that more than 110 companies will exhibit at the 2026 event, while the number of international participants has increased by more than 50% compared with the previous edition.

Global Passenger Network delegation to attend FIAA 2026

A delegation from the Global Passenger Network will attend FIAA following an invitation from ANETRA. GPN operates across more than 40 countries and its members have a combined operational capacity exceeding 26,000 vehicles, according to FIAA.

Representatives travelling to Madrid will come from the Netherlands, Mexico, Malta, Poland and Belgium. The delegation includes Roger Staal, CEO of Royal Oostenrijk Group and current Chair of GPN; Carlos Saenz, CEO of Viamex; Manuel Zarb, CEO of Zarb Coaches; Agnes and Mateusz Pastuszak of TPO Pastuszak; and Paul Cremers, CEO of Staf Cars.

During the event, GPN representatives are scheduled to meet manufacturers, operators, associations and other bus and coach industry stakeholders and to review vehicles, products and other developments presented by exhibitors.

International associations FBAA and ARP will also support the 2026 edition, alongside the international press and buyer programmes and the GPN delegation.
