Irizar ie bus Efficient on display at Next Mobility Exhibition

The vehicle displayed in Milan is the Irizar ie bus Efficient, a fully electric urban bus platform officially unveiled in October 2025. The model is available in 10-, 12- and 18-metre variants and represents the latest evolution of the manufacturer’s electric urban range.

The platform introduces several technical modifications compared to the previous generation. According to Irizar e-mobility, energy consumption has been reduced by up to 10%, while vehicle weight has been lowered by nearly 1,000 kilograms. The revised configuration also allows increased passenger capacity.

The interior layout of the ie bus Efficient has been redesigned to improve accessibility and passenger flow. The vehicle features enlarged doors and wider aisles intended to facilitate boarding and onboard circulation. The passenger compartment has also been revised with increased interior space and updated lighting arrangements.

Driver area ergonomics have also been updated, including improvements to the independent climate-control system. Irizar states that reductions in vehicle height and overall weight contribute to operational and driver-related performance targets.

Irizar e-mobility states that the new platform includes a higher share of recycled materials, with double the amount used compared to the previous generation. The vehicle has also been developed to comply with current market safety requirements.
