Menarini presented its Flash and Airon new electric bus models at Next Mobility Exhibition, displaying the 8-meter and 12-meter versions following the announcement of major product updates at the Milan trade fair. The company is also relaunching its ambition to expand on international markets.
The Italian manufacturer, now owned by Seri Industrial, showcased two platforms dedicated to electric urban transport, developed for different operational segments. The vehicles on display included the 8-meter Flash and the 12-meter Airon, both featuring full low-floor architecture and roof-mounted battery systems.

Menarini Flash, the compact electric bus for urban operations
The Menarini Flash range is available in 8-meter and 9-meter configurations, with overall lengths of 8.258 and 9.443 meters respectively.
Looking at the technical specifications, the structure is based on a self-supporting monocoque body with high-strength tubular steel frame and full immersion cathodic anti-corrosion treatment. The chassis, developed on an all-new platform, integrates independent front suspension, rear portal axle and air suspension with kneeling function.
The driveline adopts a permanent magnet synchronous motor supplied by Accelera by Cummins (formerly Siemens), mounted in rear longitudinal layout and capable of delivering 290 kW peak power and 3,000 Nm torque.
For battery technology, Menarini uses BorgWarner NMC battery modules with total capacity reaching up to 392 kWh. The system includes liquid cooling and thermal pre-conditioning. Declared range exceeds 300 km for the 8-meter version and 400 km for the 9-meter model.

Menarini Airon covers the 10- and 12-meter segment
The Airon platform is available in 10.620-meter and 12.100-meter variants.
The 12-meter version displayed in Milan features a 5,900 mm wheelbase, width of 2,550 mm and height of 3,200 mm. The structure combines monocoque construction with tubular steel frame and cathodic anti-corrosion treatment carried out at the Flumeri plant, where production of Menarini vehicles has been concentrated following the ownership transition.
From a technical standpoint, Airon adopts independent front suspension, electronically controlled ECAS air suspension and continuously controlled damping shock absorbers. The braking system integrates regenerative braking together with EBS, ABS, ASR and electronic parking brake.
The driveline mirrors the Flash configuration, with a rear longitudinal PMSM motor delivering 290 kW peak power and 3,000 Nm torque.
Lithium-NMC batteries reach capacities up to 490 kWh. Menarini declares a range exceeding 310 km for the 10-meter version and over 480 km for the 12-meter model.
The Airon range offers capacity for up to 22 seated passengers in the 12-meter configuration.
Both platforms integrate safety and driver assistance systems including ESC, TPMS, acoustic reverse warning and alcohol interlock preparation.
