Nobina has won the tender for public transport service in Karlstad region, Sweden. The news is reported on trade media bussmagasinet.se. Keolis is today operating in the concession. Nobina and Keolis have been the only ones to submit bids to the tender.

Since December 2018 4 electric articulated Citeas have been operating in Karlstad. The buses are deployed on a new BRT-inspired line in Karlstad.

Bussmagasinet.se says: “The service agreement is only valid for the period 1 July 2025 – 11 December 2027. The reason for the short agreement is that Region Värmland wants to synchronise the procurement of city operations in Karlstad with the procurement of other bus services in Värmland. Nobina’s winning bid landed at SEK 185 310 889. Keolis, which currently operates the service, submitted a bid of SEK 211 955 973″.
