The Altas Novus City V7, electric novelty in the Lithuanian manufacturer’s portfolio, is currently travelling through Trentino Alto-Adige region (Italy) for the first stages of a European roadshow which, after Trento and Bolzano, will take it to Germany, Switzerland and Denmark. The news is reported on Italian magazine AUTOBUS, belonging to the same publisher as Sustainable Bus.

Following its presentation at Busworld in October 2023, the European commercialization of the 7.5-metre electric vehicle branded by Altas (in strategic collaboration with the Chinese Zhongtong) and distributed in Italy by the D’Auria Group has begun. The vehicle, now in demo version (it will be on display at Next Mobility Exhibition in Milan in May), will be available to the European market in its definitive version from late summer 2024.

Altas Novus City V7: ready for the European market

We had the opportunity to try it today, 7 February, during the presentation held by Altas and D’Auria technicians to the staff of Trento’s carrier Trentino Trasporti.

With a wheelbase of 4,100 mm and a length of 7,490 mm, the Altas Novus City V7 is able to circulate nimbly in urban streets (it contributes a width of just 2,095 mm).

The heart of this bus is the electric motor supplied by Dana TM4, which guarantees a peak power of 200 kW and torque of 2450 Nm. The vehicle is powered by four lithium-phosphate (LFP) battery modules totalling 140 kWh, supplied by CATL.
