Arriva Italy, on 31 December 2024, has published a call for tenders (expiring on 31 January) for the supply of 10 electric buses and option for a further 10, divided into two lots. They are headed to the area of Cremona, in northern Italy. The news is reported on Italian trade media (and our sister platform) Autobusweb.

The very first electric buses for the city of Cremona were delivered in 2019 and were sourced from Alfabus Europe.

7m city e-buses and 10.5m intercity e-buses for Cremona

The first lot concerns the supply of five 7-metre long battery-powered buses in Class I Low Floor, with an option for a further five, for a value of 2,800,000 euro: the minimum daily mileage envisaged is 233.79 km, the maximum 339.10.

The second lot, on the other hand, envisages the supply of five 10.5-metre buses for Class II, Low Entry configuration, with an option for a further five, for a total value of 4,800,000 euros: the minimum daily distance envisaged is 180.80 km per day, the maximum 267.40.

Both lots include a full service maintenance contract.

But that’s not all: Arriva Italia also plans to supply two charging stations and an option for a further 8 for a total value of EUR 500,000.
