One hundred and two Crossway ELEC and thirty-eight E-Way. Iveco Bus has won the tender to supply 140 electric buses to Qbuzz (a subsidiary of Busitalia) in the Netherlands.

The 102 Crossway ELEC Low Entry and 38 E-Way (in two length variants: 10.7 and 12 meters) will be available to the Dutch operator in the last remnant of the coming year. The new battery-powered vehicles will expand the existing fleet of electric articulated vehicles already supplied by Iveco Bus currently used by Qbuzz in the Groningen-Drenthe region and in Utrecht.

Domenico Nucera, President of Iveco Group’s Bus Business Unit, commented on the supply: «We are proud to play a key role in the transition. This new contract with Qbuzz is an exciting step forward in our joint journey toward reducing the environmental impact of public transport in the Netherlands and meeting the changing needs of passengers. We look forward to continuing to work with Qbuzz to make the planet even cleaner and safer».

Gerrit Spijksma, Ceo QBUZZ, added: «In addition to our good experiences with Iveco Bus, the company came out with the best combination between price and quality and that was the deciding factor for us».
