Karsan electric fleet of in Europe has exceeded 250 units, the Turkish manufacturer announces. Karsan, increasing its power in Europe, recently delivered 5 e-ATAK buses to Weilheim city of Germany, which aims to modernize its diesel transportation vehicles by replacing them with electric buses. Thus, Karsan has further strengthened its market share in Germany with nearly 20 electric buses across various states of the country.

Karsan has recently announced an expansion of its electric bus range with the e-ATA family. The 12-meter has already been on a European roadshow.

In Europe, where Karsan has successfully won many electric vehicle tenders, the total number of electric vehicles of the brand has exceeded 250 units, according to the bus builder’s calculations. Recently, Karsan had delivered its vehicles to Weilheim city of Germany, after winning the tender for the electric bus. 5 e-ATAK buses of Karsan were delivered to the municipality withing the scope of replacing diesel transportation vehicles with environmentally friendly and electric one along with the “2022 City Bus Concept” studies of the Municipality of Weilheim. With this delivery, Karsan has further strengthened its market share in Germany with nearly 20 electric vehicles used in various states of the country for public transportation that meet German quality standards.

e-ATAK comes with brand-new and dynamic front and rear lines, and creates a striking look with its LED daytime running lamps. The motor at the heart of the Atak Electric vehicle generates 230 kW engine power and 2.500 Nm torque, providing users with a high performance driving experience. Running on a total 220 kWh capacity with five 44-kWh batteries developed by BMW, the 8-meter Atak Electric is said to boast a 300 km range. The vehicle’s batteries can be charged in 5 hours with AC charging, and in 3 hours with fast-charging units. A regenerative braking system also recycles power which enables the batteries to self-recharge up to 25%. The model comes with two seating layout options, 18+4 or 21+4 foldable for a capacity of 52 passengers.
