PEI Mobility will supply the gangway bellows for up to 45 articulated electric buses ordered for Limoges Métropole.

The commercial deal follows the framework agreement awarded to IVECO BUS and Dalkia Electrotechnics for between 20 and 45 articulated battery-electric buses, together with the associated charging infrastructure for Limoges Métropole. The selected vehicle is the GX 437 Elec Linium, marketed internationally as the E-Way 18-meter battery-electric bus.

PEI Mobility selected for Limoges articulated electric bus fleet

PEI Mobility is the automotive division of P.E.I. Srl and a major player in Italian-made bellows and articulations. Today the company provides a wide and customisable range of products suitable for every chassis. The production and sale of bus bellows – more than 14,000 units sold in the last twenty years – confirms its solid industrial presence. PEI Mobility has contributed to the construction of the new range of Castrosua’s NELEC articulated e-buses in partnership with BYD by supplying customised bellows.

Under Limoges project, PEI Mobility will manufacture the bellows for up to 45 articulated buses. The company will supply two versions of the gangway system: one featuring a traditional grey fabric and another using a translucent fabric designed to allow natural light to enter the articulated section of the vehicle.
