The Voyages Emilie Weber group is once again buying Irizar electric buses. This time the Luxembourg-based transport company is acquiring eleven ie bus units, which are added to the twenty-one units the group acquired in 2019. In September 2024 Irizar has launched the new i3 intercity e-bus model at FIAA in Madrid.

Nine buses will be 12 metre and the other two will be 18 metre. The delivery of the units is scheduled for late 2025, as Irizar states.

Irizar e-mobility: new order from Luxembourg

The vehicles will be equipped with latest generation Irizar NMC 3.0 batteries, and they will meet the highest safety and security standards under the new GSR2 standard. Furthermore, “they will have a significant performance improvement thanks to a new drivetrain”, Irizar states, without providing further details.

“Emile Weber is an important client in the history of Irizar e-mobility, because they were one of the first operators who put their trust in our electromobility solutions back in 2018, when we had barely manufactured a hundred vehicles. We’re very grateful they are putting their trust in us again. And we hope to keep collaborating and building a better world together for many more years.”, stated Iñigo Etxeberria, Irizar e-mobility Managing Director.
