Iveco Bus announces it has won the tender issued by the Campania Mobility Infrastructure and Networks Agency (Acamir) – the transport agency of Campania region in central Italy – for the supply of 87 eDaily school minibuses, part of a programme to modernise student transport across the region.

87 electric school minibuses coming to Italy

The vehicles, all under 8 metres, are intended for extra-urban and interurban routes and aim to reduce environmental impact while improving safety. The project covers all provinces of Campania, with particular attention to mobility in inland areas and small municipalities.

Built on the Daily platform, now available in a fully electric version, the eDaily minibuses feature USB sockets, air conditioning, destination displays, a lift ramp and a dedicated space for passengers with reduced mobility. They are also equipped with ADAS, video surveillance, GPS tracking linked to an operations centre, and motion sensors with an emergency alert system.

Giorgio Zino, Head of Iveco Bus Commercial Operations in Europe, stated: “We are proud to contribute to the modernisation of student transport in the Campania region with a fleet of eDaily school minibuses. Designed and manufactured in Italy, these vehicles combine safety, sustainability and comfort. This project represents a major step towards zero-emission mobility, offering safer and more environmentally friendly transport for the region’s youth.”
