Yutong has launched a 26-meter electric double articulated buses, claiming it’s a world’s first. The bus, headed to the Mexican market (where the manufacturer has delivered over 100 trolleybuses), has rolled off the production line at its new energy plant.

Yutong as currently 890 electric buses operating in Latin America, according to the figures from E-Bus Radar, backed by ZEBRA alliance. The OEM has a leading dominant in Mexico, where 535 Yutong vehicles are operating out of 744 zero emission buses, for a 72% market share.

The vehicle features Yutong’s latest battery technology and motor technology. “On top of that, special areas for the disabled and women are set in accordance with local laws and regulations, providing a more passenger-friendly environment for diverse groups of people. It also comes with high-efficiency air conditioning systems to provide passengers with a comfortable ride in the hot Mexico climate”, Yutong states.

“This bus is tailored for the Mexico market by Yutong, which demonstrates our strong manufacturing strength,” said Ren Wenhui, Manager of Yutong Mexico Company, “This bus can not only meet the pressing local demands for large-capacity and low-energy buses, but also fully consider the riding experience of passengers in Mexico. It will contribute to the modernization of urban public transport in Mexico and even Latin America in the future.”
