The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) is pleased to open registration for the 2021 International Zero Emission Bus Conference (ZEB Conference) taking place Sept. 15–17 in Denver, Colorado. Sustainable Bus is featuring the conference as media partner.

The 2021 ZEB Conference will encompass three days of programming that includes keynote speakers, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and a bus expo on Sept. 16 and 17. An optional ZEB 101 class and a tour of Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) fleet facility will be available on Sept. 15.

ZEB Conference in Denver: focus on bus electrification

The ZEB Conference is «the primary event for professionals leading the charge to electrification—equipping school, transit, and shuttle bus managers with the necessary tools to electrify their fleets. Fleet managers and operators comprised more than half of attendees in previous years. With the recent growth in fleet electrification policies and resources, CTE looks forward to welcoming even more participants this year from all facets of the electric bus industry», CTE says.

This year’s conference is held in partnership with Denver’s RTD, a recognized leader in zero-emission transit. RTD has one of the largest electric bus fleets in the country, operating 36 zero-emission buses on 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. Another key conference partner is Denver Metro Clean Cities Coalition, a Colorado-based nonprofit working to advance clean transportation to improve air quality and reduce fossil fuel dependency.

“Denver Metro Clean Cities Coalition is proud to partner on CTE’s Zero Emission Bus Conference,” says Bonnie Trowbridge, Executive Director at Denver Metro Clean Cities Coalition. “As someone who works closely with Colorado’s electric school bus stakeholders and other people-moving fleets, we are especially excited that this year’s event will cover topics unique to this audience.”

“As momentum builds around electrifying our nation’s bus fleets, CTE is excited to reconvene the leading event for fleet decision makers exploring battery and fuel cell electric bus and shuttle options,” said Lauren Justice, CTE’s Development Director. “The ZEB Conference addresses real world concerns and provides tempered strategies and tools for community leaders stepping into the zero-emission space.”
