Alpitronic has introduced a new Depot Dispenser for electric bus and truck fleets, providing up to 400 kW per charging point as part of its distributed HYC1000 charging system.
The Bolzano-based charging infrastructure manufacturer announced the new product on 10 September 2026 and will be showcased at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover. The Depot Dispenser is designed for charging commercial vehicles during scheduled depot dwell times and complements Alpitronic’s existing solutions for public fast charging and megawatt charging.
According to Alpitronic, the system allows charging infrastructure to be sized according to the existing fleet and subsequently expanded as the number of electric vehicles or operational requirements change.
Alpitronic Depot Dispenser: up to 400 kW for bus and truck depots
The Depot Dispenser operates across a voltage range of 150 to 1,000 V, with an output current of up to 400 A and maximum charging power of 400 kW.
Power is supplied by the central HYC1000 Power Cabinet, which Alpitronic says operates with an efficiency above 98%. Each cabinet features eight outputs that can be combined with different dispensers according to site requirements. When configured exclusively with the new Depot Dispensers, a single HYC1000 Power Cabinet can supply up to eight CCS charging points.
The distributed architecture allows available power to be allocated dynamically among connected charging points. According to Alpitronic, the configuration takes into account factors including grid connection capacity, vehicle dwell times, charging windows and the number of vehicles requiring charging.
Operators can therefore install infrastructure based on their current fleet configuration and add charging points as the fleet expands, while power distribution across the individual charging points is managed within the available capacity of the site connection.
Alpitronic states that this approach is designed in particular for bus and logistics depots where additional grid capacity may be limited or require longer lead times to become available.
Wall, pedestal and overhead installation options
The Depot Dispenser supports different installation configurations for different depot layouts. It can be wall-mounted, installed on a pedestal or positioned overhead, including installation on a gantry or suspension from a ceiling.
Different cable lengths are also available, providing further options for positioning the charging point in relation to vehicle parking and circulation areas.

The system supports several authentication methods. According to Alpitronic, these can be used both for an operator’s own vehicles and for guest vehicles, allowing access to charging infrastructure to be assigned to different user groups.
The Depot Dispenser will initially be offered in Europe, with Alpitronic planning availability in additional markets at a later stage.
Alpitronic expands charging portfolio for heavy-duty vehicles
With the Depot Dispenser, Alpitronic adds a dedicated depot application to its charging portfolio for electric commercial vehicles. The company’s offering now covers scheduled depot charging, public fast charging and megawatt charging for long-haul operations.
The new dispenser is integrated into the HYC1000 platform rather than operating as a standalone power unit, with the central Power Cabinet supplying and distributing power to the connected charging points.
