ATM Group has launched a French division. Milan public transport carrier ATM has announced the launch of ATM France via a Linkedin post. The operator already manages the Thessaloniki and Copenhagen undergrounds (it has been running the Danish capital’s driverless lines since 2008) has indeed put in its sights the tender for the management of the two new Grand Paris Express automatic metro lines.

ATM France is born

In this regard, participation in the tender comes through the establishment of a Temporary Business Association with Egis, an internationally recognised French group with a presence in 120 countries, which operates in the fields of infrastructure engineering, planning and railway maintenance, and is part of the French Caisse des Dépôts. The Italo-French ATM-Egis consortium, which has chosen the name ATEMIS, has the goal of becoming a point of reference in the management of metros in France.

With 11,000 employees and expertise covering 7 modes of transport, from automatic metro systems to bicycles, ATM moves nearly 3 million people every day.
