German components supplier Technotrans announces it has received a follow-up order from “a leading European electric bus manufacturer”. The company says it will deliver battery thermal management systems (BTMS) for multiple e-bus series.

This time, the order volume is in the double-digit million-euro range. By placing this order early, the e-bus manufacturer is fully covering its requirements for 2025, Technotrans says.

Technotrans battery management system for electric buses

First order was made public in May 2024. Without specifying the name of the OEM, Technotrans states that it “supplies a total of three production sites in France and the Czech Republic“, leaving room for speculations about which could be the bus manufacturer involved. Given the available information, a potential brand might be Iveco Bus, which has indeed two plants in France (Rorthais and Annonay) and one in Czech Republic (Vysoké Mýto). But this is just an assumption.

“The renewed major order strengthens our market position and demonstrates the trust placed in our technology and performance capabilities,” says Michael Finger, CEO of technotrans SE. “By committing to us at an early stage, the customer underlines the strategic relevance of our solutions and our leading technological expertise.”
