Ifema is starting to market an event with important innovations, following the meeting of the Organising Committee of the International Bus and Coach Fair (FIAA 2024) on 15 January, which discussed the working lines for its fifteenth event.

Themed “Leading Mobility”, the event will include an additional space – it will occupy pavilions 8 and 10 – with an area of 38,800 m2, which represents an 80% increase compared to the 2022 event (and a comeback to the size of the expo before the pandemic), reflecting the high expectations that the event is generating in the sector.

FIAA 2024 scheduled for 22-25 October

Determined to regain its role as the leading trade show for the industry in Southern Europe, the show will also raise its international profile. The event will take place from 22 to 25 October 2024.

In this task, and in an environment where the market is clearly recovering, FIAA will have the presence of the main brands of manufacturers and bodybuilders. It will also have the renewed support of the main business groups in the sector: CONFEBUS, the Spanish Bus and Coach Association; ASCABUS, the National Association of Bus and Coach Bodybuilders; ANETRA, the National Association of Coach and Bus Companies;ATUC, the Association of Urban and Metropolitan Public Transport and DIREBUS, the Association of Coach and Bus Companies.

FIAA 2024’s internationalisation strategy “will focus on the implementation of an ambitious programme of invited buyers from the most attractive markets for the sector, in cooperation with the exhibiting companies and in line with their interests. It will also involve agreements with international fleet associations and the development of an intensive communication campaign in the main media of the preferred countries”, Ifema states.

Also, as part of this international campaign, and as part of the FIAA 2024 conference and accompanying programme of activities, the traditional MINIBUS OF THE YEAR awards, which recognise the R&D efforts of the bus and coach industry, will be re-launched.
