Based on the CAF Group’s 2025 Sustainability Report and aligned with the CSRD Directive framework, the publication provides an overview of the manufacturer’s ESG performance and strategic initiatives.
Solaris reports 70% reduction in operational emissions
Among the most significant figures highlighted in the publication is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions linked to the company’s operations. Since 2019, Solaris has reduced Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 70%, while Scope 3 emissions related to the use phase of its vehicles have decreased by 61.3%.
The company continued to expand its Ecodesign programme during 2025, focusing on lifecycle assessment methodologies and improvements in vehicle energy efficiency. Additional Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses were also conducted on electric bus models as part of these activities.
At the product level, alternative-drivetrain vehicles represented a record 86% of total deliveries in 2025. Solaris maintained its presence in the battery-electric and hydrogen bus segments while also extending its activities into intercity applications and new markets, including North America. The company additionally introduced a retrofit service aimed at upgrading existing vehicles through the adoption of advanced energy storage technologies.
More than 1,100 employees hired in 2025
The social section of the report highlights the expansion of Solaris’ workforce. During 2025, the manufacturer hired 1,169 new employees as production volumes and international operations continued to grow.
On the governance side, Solaris continued implementing its sustainable value chain policy and Responsible Purchasing programme. Suppliers are assessed against environmental, social and ethical criteria as part of the company’s procurement processes.
According to the report, new ESG reporting and control tools were introduced during 2025 to support data management and oversight activities. Solaris was also recognized in the “ESG Innovator” competition for its Compliance Communication Strategy, developed to strengthen employee awareness of business ethics and compliance topics.
“For Solaris, 2025 was a year of consistent execution of a strategy that combines business growth with a tangible impact on the environment and society. For years, sustainability has served as a key pillar of our operations.
