CaetanoBus, a fuel cell bus offensive across Europe

This award represents a significant moment for Caetano as this five hydrogen buses will join the 16 H2.City Gold units already sold in three different cities Germany, strengthening Caetano’s presence and positioning in this strategic European market. The Portuguese company has recently sold its two first hydrogen buses in the domestica market. The bus has been recently tested in Spain by ALSA. Still in Spain, eight vehicles are headed to Barcelona. And it must be mentioned that in December 2020 a strategic alliance was announced between Toyota Europe, CaetanoBus and Finlogin an effort dedicated to the development and production of fuel buses in Europe.

The ordered H2.City Gold units will be equipped with Toyota fuel cell and will offer a drive range over 400 kilometers. The five low-floor vehicles will include several Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that will support driver’s activity and will help to improve road safety and other features to maximize passengers’ comfort.
